Smart Salting for Community Leaders Workshop

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is offering a free, virtual 2-hour Smart Salting for Community Leaders workshop. This interactive workshop will help participants understand the impacts of chloride on infrastructure and water resources. It will equip participants with specific action steps and resources to reduce salt pollution in their communities. 

The recommended audience for this workshop includes city council members, board members of watershed organizations or housing associations, and other community decision-makers who are not directly involved in road salt use but who could benefit from learning about smart salting practices.

This training is hosted by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Chloride Reduction Program and the Metro Watershed Partners. Funding comes from the Clean Water Fund and the Minnesota GreenCorps program.
