Blue-Green Algae Blooms Notice

Notice: Blue-green algae blooms - 9/13/21

Blue-green algae blooms were recently observed on Pleasant Lake in North Oaks and detected on East Goose Lake in White Bear Lake.

The public should avoid contact with the water in lakes that have active blue-green algae blooms, also known as harmful algal blooms (HABs). During these bloom events, the water contains blue-green algae at levels that may cause short-term and long-term harm including skin irritation, gastrointestinal problems, and/or liver damage. People and pets should avoid all contact with the water, scum, or algae. Always remember, when in doubt, best keep out.
